Friendly fast service. Great food great prices. The family that runs this is very friendly. We were traveling home and it was getting late this was a very pleasant surprise. Definitely keeping as a bookmark for another visit.

Stopped here on my way to St. Louis and had a fantastic meal. I've been real worn out on American food from staying in Nashville so I decided to switch it up a bit. I was slightly hesitant to go in at first when I pulled into the parking lot since there wasn't anyone else there, but luckily I decided to risk it anyways. The service wasn't top notch, but they'll get a free pass on that one since I think it was due mostly to cultural differences and language barriers. I ordered a Yummy Roll for $10.95 and it took maybe 10min to come out. I was expecting a normal sized sushi roll on a tiny plate, but oh my this thing was huge. Normally at any other sushi bar I'd have to eat two rolls to get my fill, but this one hit the spot perfectly. I should also add that it was beautifully presented on the plate. The roll was perfectly sliced and decorated, and the plate was garnished with a green tea print of a panda (I'll post a picture as well for anyone interested). If you're ever in the area, this place is a must try. All in all I'm very pleased.

We stopped on our way through from St. Louis to Southern Illinois. Thanks to Yelp for recommending.
We started with crab rangoons which were very plentiful with 8 on the plate. We were split on our review of them but I wasn't a fan because I personally don't like onion flavor. My girlfriend thought they were great. So it depends on your personal taste.
I had the spider roll which was enough for 1 dinner and looked amazing on the plate. However I was a bit disappointed the crab was cold and not warm. The flavors were delicious!
My girlfriend had the chicken with garlic sauce which was amazing! We both agreed the flavor was delicious. The comment that summarized the experience was her saying, "I wish this wasn't so far from home."
Definitely worth the stop. -

Excellent food and service as always. It's always a great experience eating at Ali! The food is amazing! The waitress and the "sushi guy" (owners) are wonderful, sweet and accommodating. Love coming here.

Was looking for non-American food in Mount Vernon, and saw Ali had good reviews. But my experience was just OK. The veggie tempura was solid. The rolls were a mixed bag. Really loved the Spicy King, and presentation on the Sweetheart was awesome. But the Black Dragon was underwhelming.
Perhaps the biggest drawback here was the service. We had a party of four adults and four little kids (all under 4). Well, it took us just under **two hours** to have our meal. The rolls came out one or two at a time. In my mind, you should be able to get out of a restaurant in an hour. Fortunately, we weren't in a hurry. Had we been, I'd be in a much worse mood writing this review.
